Greetings and congratulations to any of you who may be competing and supporting Indigenous youth of your tribes at the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair!
Words of the People would like to send our appreciation for your work. We also want to bring some upcoming readings featuring Indigenous language to your attention.
Ahead of the rematriation retreat April 18-20, we want to share this news with you:
On Tuesday, April 15, Osage poet Elise Paschen will read at the Tulsa Historical Society.
On Saturday, April 19, Joy Harjo will read and share a reflection on rematriation.
Language work is a form of rematriation.
Joy’s reading is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
